Thomas Borer Comments on the German Economy of 2009

Thomas Borer is interviewed by the St. Gallen Symposium and comments on the upcoming 2009 German federal election. He observes that Germany is particularly heavily affected by the 2007-2008 global recession. He further argues that Germany needs to find a solution to its already strained welfare system in the midst of all these issues, bemoaning the lack of a strong economically liberal political movement in Germany.
