RTS 19h30 – Natural gas in Switzerland: Celtique Energie announces 50% chance of finding a deposit in Noiraigue (NE)
On the RTS 19h30 television news, the British company Celtique Energie announced that it estimated its chances of discovering a major natural gas field in Switzerland beneath the village of Noiraigue (Neuchâtel) at 50%. The field is estimated to contain 20 billion cubic metres, equivalent to seven years of national consumption. Speaking on the programme, Thomas Borer highlighted the potential economic benefits of such a project, including reduced dependence on imports, enhanced energy security and the creation of jobs and investment for the region.
